How to export your Instagram followers

Instagram does not have a download button for your follower list. It does include the list in the data export that every account can request. This tool reads that export and turns it into a list you can search and save.

    In Accounts Center, export only Followers and following, for All time, in JSON. Instagram emails you a link.

02What it shows

Every follower in your export, with the date they followed

The list shows each follower's username with a link to the profile and the date they followed you. Sort by newest, oldest or A to Z, and search for a username. The CSV has the rows that match your search.

Your file stays with you

The ZIP is read in your browser. Only the follower files are opened, so a large export with photos and messages loads fast, and nothing in it is uploaded.

What it cannot do

It reads your own export only. It does not log in to Instagram, and it cannot list the followers of another account.

How do I export my Instagram followers?

Open Accounts Center in Instagram, then Your information and permissions, then Export your information (older apps say Download your information). Pick your Instagram profile, select only Followers and following, set the date range to All time and the format to JSON. When Instagram emails you the link, download the ZIP and drop it on this page.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The tool reads the ZIP in your browser. The file and your follower list are not sent to Adlicio or to anyone else.

Do I need to log in to Instagram on this page?

No. This page never asks for your Instagram username or password. You log in to Instagram only in the Instagram app or website, to request the export.

Should I choose JSON or HTML?

Choose JSON. The tool also reads HTML exports, but it can read follow dates in HTML only when the export is in English.

My followers are split into several files. What do I do?

Drop the whole ZIP. Large accounts get followers_1.json, followers_2.json and more. The tool reads all of them and removes duplicates.

Can I export another account's followers here?

No. Instagram gives each person only their own export, so this tool lists the followers of your own account.

What is in the CSV?

One row per follower with the username, the profile link and the date the person followed you, in UTC. The CSV has the rows that match your current search.

Why is my count different from my profile?

The export is a copy from the day you requested it. Your profile count changes as people follow and unfollow.

The tool says my file has no follower list. Why?

The export did not include Followers and following. Request a new export and select that item. If you dropped following.json, that is the list of accounts you follow, so drop followers_1.json or the whole ZIP.
