01How it works

How to look up a Reddit user

Type a username above and the account's public profile opens: its karma, the month it joined, and its newest posts and comments with the community of each comment. You need no Reddit account, and the person is not told. The page shows what Reddit shows a logged-out visitor, so hidden, deleted and adult content stays out.

  1. 01

    Type the username

Type the username, like spez or u/spez, or paste a profile link from reddit.com or the Reddit app.

  2. 02

    Read the profile

You get the account's karma, the month it joined, and up to 25 of its newest public posts and comments. Switch to Top to see its highest scoring ones instead.

  3. 03

    Open what you need

Each comment shows the community and the post it answers, and every post and comment links back to Reddit, so you can read the whole thread there.

02What you see

What a Reddit profile shows, and what it hides

The profile

At the top: the username, Redditor since with the month and year the account was created, and its post karma and comment karma. Below it, two tabs. Posts lists the account's posts with the title, points, comment count and age. Comments lists what it wrote, each with the community and the post it answered, and a link to open the comment on Reddit.

Reddit user history

One view holds up to 25 items, posts and comments together. New shows the most recent ones, which is usually what you want when you check an account today. Top shows the highest scoring ones, which says more about what the account is known for. To search a person's comments by keyword, the Reddit comment search reads their newest 500 comments and keeps the ones that match.

Reddit user analysis, without the guesswork

A profile answers the practical questions: how old the account is, whether its karma comes from posts or from comments, and which communities it spends time in, since every comment carries its community. That is often enough to tell a long-time member of a hobby from an account created last week to post links. This page does not score accounts, chart them by hour or guess anything about the person behind them.

Profiles that show little or nothing

Reddit lets people choose which communities' posts and comments appear on their profile, or hide all of them. In Reddit's words, hidden posts and comments “are still available in the original community where they were made, as well as in search results both on and off the platform” (Reddit Help, checked October 26, 2026). So an empty profile here does not always mean an inactive account. Suspended and deleted accounts have no public profile, and the page says so.

What it does not show

Deleted and removed posts and comments, private messages, votes, and anything behind a login. Posts marked adult and items from adult communities are left out on purpose. It does not search by email, phone number or real name. Tools that promise deleted Reddit posts or private profiles are reading third party archives, not Reddit.

Searching for users on Reddit itself

If you do not know the exact username, Reddit's own search helps: type a name in the search bar and pick the People filter, which Reddit describes as the one to use “if you want to find a specific user” (Reddit Help). To find the posts one account made in a community, search for author:name together with subreddit:name, with no space after the colon (search features, checked October 26, 2026). Once you have the name, look it up here.

03FAQ

Reddit user search FAQ

How do I search for a user on Reddit?

Here, type the username and the public profile opens. On Reddit itself, type the name in the search bar and choose the People filter, which lists matching accounts. If you know the exact name, reddit.com/user/ followed by the name opens the profile directly.

Can I look up a Reddit user without an account?

Yes. This page never asks you to log in. It reads the profile the way a logged-out browser does and shows it without ads or app prompts.

Is this Reddit user search free?

Yes. Each visitor gets five free views a week, and a free Adlicio account gets 30 a day. The views are shared with the Reddit viewer, and the tool has a daily budget, so on a very busy day it can pause until midnight UTC.

Does the person know I looked at their profile?

No. The profile is fetched by our server, not your browser, and nothing is sent to your Reddit account or theirs. Reading a public page is not an action Reddit reports to anyone.

How far back does the post and comment history go?

Up to 25 items per view, posts and comments together: the newest ones with New, or the highest scoring ones with Top. To search further back in someone's comments by keyword, the Reddit comment search reads their newest 500 comments.

Why does a profile show no posts or comments?

The account may have none, or it may hide them. Reddit lets people choose which communities' posts and comments appear on their profile, or hide all of them. Hidden posts and comments still exist in the communities where they were made, and Reddit search still finds them.

Can I see deleted Reddit posts or comments?

No. Once the author, a moderator or Reddit removes something, it is gone from the public profile and from here. Tools that promise deleted posts are reading third party archives, not Reddit.

Can I see a private or suspended account?

No. A suspended or deleted account has no public profile, and the page says so. Content a person hid from their profile stays hidden here too.

Does it show NSFW posts and comments?

No. Posts marked adult and items from adult communities are left out on purpose, so a profile can show fewer than 25 items.

What do post karma, comment karma and the join date mean?

Post karma and comment karma are the points Reddit gives an account for upvotes on its posts and comments. Redditor since is the month and year the account was created. A new account with very little karma is worth a second look before you trust a recommendation from it.

Can I find someone's Reddit account by email, phone number or real name?

No. This page looks up a username you already know. It does not search by email address, phone number or real name.

Does it analyze the account?

Only as far as the profile goes: karma, account age, and the community of every comment it shows, so you can see where the account is active. It does not chart activity by hour, score the account or guess who the person is.
