How to get an Instagram transcript
An Instagram transcript turns the spoken words in a public reel or video post into text you can read, search and save. Paste the link into the Instagram transcript generator above. It uses the post's caption track when one exists and speech recognition when captions are not available.

A clean transcript you can copy and save
The result opens as a readable column with the word count. It keeps the spoken text together as a plain transcript, ready for notes, research, a content brief or a draft.
Copy or download the text
Copy the transcript to your clipboard or download a TXT file to keep. The file contains the transcript only, with no page markup or account data added.
Why there are no timestamps
Instagram returns the spoken text without cue timing. This tool does not guess where a sentence begins in the reel, so Instagram transcripts have no timestamp toggle or SRT file.
Public reels and video posts only
Reel, video post and share links work when the post is public. Private, deleted and image-only posts cannot return a video transcript.
