Short answer: the Claude marketing skills to install first are Corey Haines' free Marketing Skills library (52 skills for copy, CRO, SEO, ads, email and analytics) and Anthropic's own Marketing plugin for campaign plans, briefs and reports. Add Claude SEO or GEO-SEO Claude for site audits, Claude Ads for ad account audits, Humanizer to edit drafts, the Canva and Windsor.ai plugins if you use those tools, and Adlicio when copy has to come from what customers say. Most of these marketing skills Claude can load in Claude Code, and several also work in Claude.ai and Cowork.
A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file: written instructions, sometimes with scripts and reference files, that Claude loads when your task matches it. A plugin packages several skills, often with a connector to an outside tool, into one install. Anthropic's connectors, skills and plugins page explains how the three fit together.
How we checked: we read every pick on its own page on October 26, 2026: the README, license and star count for GitHub repositories, and Anthropic's docs and marketplace listings for plugins. Star counts change daily, so treat them as a rough sign of use. We have not run every skill on client work, so there are no ratings. Adlicio publishes this page and makes one of the 12 picks. Where another pick does a job better, we say so.
Customer research, ad angles, competitor ads (4 skills plus a connector)

Libraries that cover most marketing jobs
Marketing Skills by Corey Haines. The repository Google ranks first for "marketing skills claude", with about 56,600 GitHub stars. It holds 52 skills, among them copywriting, copy-editing, cro, ab-testing, seo-audit, ai-seo, programmatic-seo, ads, ad-creative, emails, analytics, pricing, launch and customer-research. They follow the open Agent Skills format, so the same files work in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents. Install them all with npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills -a claude-code, or add the repo as a Claude Code plugin marketplace. For Claude.ai, each release ships one ZIP per skill that you upload under Customize > Skills. The library is MIT licensed and free; the README discloses sponsored tool partners. Latest release: v2.13.0, October 19, 2026.
Anthropic's Marketing plugin. Anthropic's own pick, from its knowledge-work-plugins repository (Apache 2.0). Its eight skills are draft-content, content-creation, campaign-plan, brand-review, competitive-brief, performance-report, seo-audit and email-sequence. It was built for Cowork and also works in Claude Code, and it comes wired for connectors such as Canva, Figma, HubSpot, Notion, Ahrefs, Similarweb, Klaviyo and Supermetrics. In Claude.ai or the desktop app, find it under Customize > Plugins. In Claude Code:
claude plugin marketplace add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins
claude plugin install marketing@knowledge-work-plugins
Pick this one for planning and reporting work that pulls from your own tools. For copy and CRO depth, Corey Haines' library goes further.
Claude plugins for marketing teams
Brand Voice by Tribe AI. A plugin Anthropic lists as verified, built by Tribe AI as a Cowork launch partner and kept in the same knowledge-work-plugins repository (MIT). Its three skills search your existing material in Notion, Google Drive, Confluence, Box, Slack and call transcripts, turn it into written brand guidelines, and then check new drafts against them. Install it from Customize > Plugins or with claude plugin install brand-voice@knowledge-work-plugins. It fits better than any copy skill here when several people write with Claude and the output has to sound like one company.
Canva. Canva's plugin in Anthropic's official marketplace connects Claude Code to the Canva connector. Its skills check a design against your brand kit, resize it for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, bulk-create designs from a spreadsheet, give design feedback and apply comment feedback. The skills are Apache 2.0. The bulk-create skill needs Canva Enterprise, and Canva says its connector works on every Canva account, Free included. In Claude.ai you get the same Canva tools by adding Canva under Customize > Connectors.
Windsor.ai. For analytics. The plugin (MIT) reads Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, GA4, Search Console, CRM and store data through your Windsor.ai account, with commands such as /campaign-report, /wasted-spend, /pacing and /performance-review. It can pause campaigns or change budgets, and Claude asks before each change. Windsor.ai's MCP page says its free plan covers one data source, and reports that combine several sources need a paid plan from $19 a month.
Anthropic's skills repository. About 183,800 stars. Most marketers use it without installing anything: its Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF skills already run in Claude.ai when code execution is on, which is how Claude builds client decks and report spreadsheets. Two others are worth copying: skill-creator, which helps you write your own skills, and brand-guidelines, a short example of a brand skill (it applies Anthropic's own colors, so edit it for your brand). Most skills are Apache 2.0; the document skills are source-available.
Claude Code marketing skills for SEO and ads
Claude SEO. About 21,800 stars, MIT. A Claude Code plugin with 26 sub-skills and 19 agents covering technical SEO, E-E-A-T, schema, AI search, local SEO, e-commerce, hreflang and backlinks, plus Google Search Console, PageSpeed and GA4 through Google's APIs. /seo audit <url> runs a full audit with agents working in parallel. Install with /plugin marketplace add AgriciDaniel/claude-seo, then /plugin install claude-seo@agricidaniel-claude-seo and /seo setup, which sets up its own Python environment and a headless browser.
GEO-SEO Claude. About 11,300 stars, MIT. Built for visibility in AI search: /geo audit, /geo citability, /geo crawlers, /geo llmstxt, /geo schema and /geo report-pdf for a client-ready PDF. It installs with a shell script and needs Python 3.10 or newer. Pick Claude SEO for a full technical audit and this one when the question is whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews can find and quote a site.
Claude Ads. About 10,400 stars, MIT. An audit skill for ad accounts on Google, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat and X. Run /ads setup, answer a few questions about your business, goal and monthly spend, and it ranks what to fix first. Only Claude Code is verified; the README calls the Codex, Gemini and Cursor installs experimental.
Copywriting and social
Humanizer. About 60,800 stars, MIT. It rewrites AI-written text against 26 patterns taken from Wikipedia's guide to signs of AI writing, such as staged run-ups and one-line closers, without changing what the text says. The author is clear that beating AI detectors is not the goal. Install it in Claude Code with /plugin marketplace add blader/humanizer, or download the repository as a ZIP and upload it as a skill in Claude.ai. Run it as the last pass on anything another skill drafted.
LinkedIn Skills. About 5,200 stars, MIT, by Serge Bulaev. Twelve skills that write LinkedIn posts, comments and replies in your voice, analyze your feed and plan a posting rhythm, and wait for your approval before anything is published. In Claude.ai, add sergebulaev/linkedin-skills as a marketplace under Customize > Plugins; in Claude Code, /plugin marketplace add sergebulaev/linkedin-skills.
Customer research
Adlicio. Adlicio's plugin gives Claude the Adlicio connector plus four skills: adlicio-get-started, adlicio-customer-research, adlicio-ad-angles and adlicio-competitor-ads. Claude can then read public comments and reviews on Reddit, Amazon, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Trustpilot, G2, app stores and Google Maps, and write ad angles, hooks and scripts that quote real customers with links. The competitor skill reads the Meta Ad Library: which ads have run longest, what their scripts say, and where they send people. In Claude Code:
In Claude.ai and Cowork, connect Adlicio from the connector directory, where it is listed as a Community connector, or follow Add Adlicio to Claude. The plugin is MIT and free, and the Adlicio docs list every tool with its credit price. A free Adlicio account gets a Reddit preview; paid plans start at $49 a month for 250 credits, and competitor ads, transcripts and scroll stoppers need Growth ($99) or Scale ($199).
Use Adlicio to read the 1 to 3 star Amazon reviews for [competitor product link] and the Reddit threads about [category]. Group the complaints, quote two buyers per group with links, and write three ad angles we can back up.
Corey Haines' customer-research skill teaches Claude how to plan and synthesize interviews and surveys, and it works on research you already have. Adlicio collects the public comments and reviews themselves. To try that without Claude, the free objection finder and Amazon review analyzer run in the browser.
How to install a skill in Claude Code and in Claude.ai
✓For a single skill, put its folder at ~/.claude/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md to use it in every project, or at .claude/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md to share it through one repository.
✓For a plugin, run /plugin marketplace add <owner>/<repo>, then /plugin install <plugin>@<marketplace> and choose a scope. Anthropic's official marketplace is added for you; run /plugin and open Discover to browse it. See Install plugins.
✓Ask for the task and Claude loads the skill when it fits, or type /skill-name. Plugin skills are named /plugin-name:skill-name.
✓In Settings > Capabilities, turn on code execution and file creation. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner enables skills for the organization.
✓Go to Customize > Skills, select +, then Create skill and Upload a skill, and upload the skill folder as a ZIP.
✓For a plugin, go to Customize > Plugins. Discover lists Anthropic's marketplaces and the directory; Add > Add marketplace takes a GitHub repository; Add > Upload plugin takes a ZIP.
Skills you add in Claude.ai sync to Claude Code when you sign in with the same account, but personal skills in ~/.claude/skills do not reach Claude.ai or Cowork.

FAQ
What is a Claude skill? A folder with a SKILL.md file that holds instructions, and sometimes scripts and reference files. Claude reads the short description of each skill you have and loads the full instructions only when a task matches.
What is the difference between a skill, a plugin and a connector? A skill teaches Claude how to do a task. A connector gives Claude access to a tool or data source through an MCP server, such as Canva, HubSpot or Adlicio. A plugin bundles skills, connectors, commands and agents into one install. See the best Claude connectors for marketers for the connector side.
Are Claude skills free? Every skill on this list is free to install, and all but Anthropic's document skills use an open-source license. Some need a paid account with the tool behind them: Canva Enterprise for bulk designs, a Windsor.ai plan for more than one data source, an Adlicio plan for research beyond the Reddit preview.
Do Claude skills work in Claude.ai? Yes. Anthropic says skills are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans with code execution turned on, and you upload them as ZIP files under Customize > Skills. Anthropic's plugin directory appears on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Many Claude Code skills run scripts, browsers or local Python, so check the README before you rely on one in Claude.ai.
Do these skills work in ChatGPT or Codex? Codex reads the same skill format, and Marketing Skills, Humanizer and LinkedIn Skills document a Codex install. ChatGPT uses apps instead; see the best ChatGPT apps for marketers.
Are third-party skills safe to install? A skill can tell Claude to run commands, and a plugin can add hooks and MCP servers. Read the files before you install, prefer plugins from Anthropic's marketplaces, and treat review text and web pages as data for Claude to quote, never as instructions to follow.
