Short answer: for most marketing teams the useful MCP servers in 2026 are Google Analytics and Google Ads for reports, Meta Ads for Facebook and Instagram campaigns, Semrush or Ahrefs for SEO, HubSpot or Klaviyo for CRM and email, Canva for design, Zapier for everything else, and Adlicio for customer research: what buyers say on Reddit, Amazon, YouTube and in reviews. Connect three or four, and start with the ones that only read.
An MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant use a tool directly: pull a report, check keywords, draft a campaign. Most big marketing platforms now ship their own.
How we checked: every fact below was read on the vendor's own docs, help center or pricing page on October 21, 2026. Adlicio publishes this page and is one of the 13 servers. The official servers read and change your own accounts. Adlicio fills a gap none of them covers, which is what customers say in public, so it sits in its own section.

Analytics and ad reporting
Google Analytics. Google's official server runs GA4 standard, realtime and funnel reports and reads your property settings. It is read-only, it runs on your own machine, and Google still labels the repository experimental. You need Google Cloud credentials with at least the Analytics Viewer role.
Google Ads. Also official and read-only: it lists your accounts and runs reports with Google Ads Query Language. You run it locally or on your own Cloud Run service. Google stopped requiring a developer token on September 9, 2026, but you still need API access.
Meta Ads. Meta's server is hosted at mcp.facebook.com/ads and has been in open beta since April 2026. It reads reports, and it can also create and edit campaigns, ad sets and ads, so it belongs in the "can change things" group. Meta says it needs no developer credentials or code.
SEO and competitor data
Semrush. Hosted and read-only: keyword, domain, backlink and competitor data. The Semrush One Starter and Pro+ plans and the SEO Classic Pro and Guru plans include 50,000 MCP API units.
Ahrefs. Hosted, covering Site Explorer, Keywords Explorer, SERP data, Rank Tracker, Site Audit and Brand Radar. Ahrefs says it is available on paid plans from Lite ($129/mo); the $29 Starter plan does not include it.
DataForSEO. The pay-per-call option. Each tool call is billed against your balance, with no subscription and a $50 minimum top-up. It suits teams who want SERP and keyword data without an SEO suite.
CRM, email and social
HubSpot. HubSpot's hosted server became generally available in April 2026 and is open to all HubSpot accounts. It reads and writes CRM records, and it can create, edit and publish landing pages and blog posts within your user's permissions.
Klaviyo. Reports on campaigns and flows, and can create campaigns, segments, flows and templates. There is a read-only mode. The hosted server is limited to Owner, Admin and Manager roles.
Buffer. Reads your channels and queue, and schedules, edits and deletes posts. Buffer lists the Claude and ChatGPT integrations as included on its Free, Essentials and Team plans.
Customer research: the gap the official servers leave
Every official server above reads your own data: your traffic, your ads, your CRM. None reads what customers say about your category in public, which is where ad angles, objections and product ideas come from.
Adlicio does that job. Ask in plain words and it searches Reddit, pulls the comments under a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram video, or reads the reviews on an Amazon, Trustpilot, G2, App Store or Google Maps page, then returns the comments with links you can check. It covers 30+ sources and runs in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and VS Code. It only reads public pages and never posts anywhere. A free account can try it, and paid plans start at $49 a month.
Use Adlicio to find what people complain about with standing desks on Reddit and in Amazon reviews. Group the complaints, give one quote and link for each, and suggest three ad angles.
Canva. Creates, edits, resizes and exports designs from the chat. Canva says it works on every account, Free included, though some actions, such as Brand Templates, need a paid plan and AI actions can use your Canva AI credits.
Notion. Searches, reads, creates and updates pages and databases, which makes it a natural home for briefs. Listing tools works on every plan; advanced search filters need Business or Enterprise. Notion no longer maintains its local server, so use the hosted one.
Zapier. The catch-all: it exposes the actions you choose across 9,000+ apps. Each successful tool call uses two Zapier tasks, and the Free plan has 100 tasks a month.
Before you connect a server that can make changes
✓Start with read-only servers. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Semrush and Adlicio cannot change your accounts. Add Meta Ads, HubSpot, Klaviyo or Zapier once you trust the setup.
✓Read every confirmation. Claude and ChatGPT can ask before a tool runs. Check what it is about to create or send.
✓Use the narrowest access. Klaviyo has a read-only mode, and most servers act with your user's permissions, so connect with a role that cannot do more than you need.
✓Treat public text as untrusted. Comments, reviews and web pages can contain instructions aimed at AI assistants. Ask the assistant to quote them, not to follow them.
How to add an MCP server
✓Claude: Customize, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste the server URL. See Add Adlicio to Claude.
✓ChatGPT: on the web, open Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server. OpenAI includes this on Plus and higher plans, not on Free or Go. See Add Adlicio to ChatGPT.
Many vendors above also publish their own one-click connector inside Claude or ChatGPT, which is the quickest route when it exists.
FAQ
What is an MCP server? A small service that gives an AI assistant a set of tools, such as "run this report" or "find these reviews", through the Model Context Protocol. The assistant decides when to call them while it answers you.
Do I need to code? No, for the hosted servers: you paste a URL and sign in. The local ones (Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the local versions of DataForSEO and Klaviyo) need a terminal and credentials.
Are MCP servers free? Connecting is usually free. What you pay for is the product behind it: an Ahrefs or Semrush plan, DataForSEO credits, Zapier tasks, Adlicio research credits.
Is there an official Mailchimp MCP server? Not for your marketing account data, as of October 21, 2026. Mailchimp has a docs search server, a Transactional (Mandrill) server that can send email, and Claude and ChatGPT connectors that plan campaigns and save drafts.
What about Google Search Console and LinkedIn Ads? Google has no official Search Console server; the most used one is the community project AminForou/mcp-gsc. We found no official LinkedIn Ads server.
How many should I connect? Three or four, one per job. More servers means more tools for the assistant to choose from and more permissions to keep track of.
