How to transcribe a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube video with Claude or ChatGPT

Paste a TikTok, Instagram reel or YouTube link into Claude or ChatGPT and get the spoken transcript back with Adlicio, then ask for the hook, claims and call to action.

Claude and ChatGPT cannot watch a video from a link. With Adlicio connected, you paste the link and the assistant gets the spoken transcript of the video, with time stamps where the platform has them. Then you ask it for the hook, the claims, the offer and the call to action.

It works for TikTok videos, Instagram reels and posts, and YouTube videos and Shorts.

Steps#

  1. Connect Adlicio to Claude or ChatGPT.
  2. Copy the video link from the app or the browser. Share links work too.
  3. Paste it into the chat and ask for the transcript and what you want from it.

A real result#

We ran that prompt on 7 October 2026 on a 7-minute YouTube review, "I Tried the Ridge Wallet... Here's What No One Tells You". Adlicio returned 1,449 words with time stamps.

  • The hook: "In 10 years being on YouTube, I have never reviewed a product that wasn't watch related."
  • The main complaint: "none of these cards are quick access". The reviewer has to pull out all the cards to find one.
  • Prices: the MagSafe kit is $125 on Ridge's site, and the reviewer bought it on eBay instead.

That is a full objection list from one video, in the speaker's own words, in less than a minute.

Tips#

  • Get the comments too. Ask Adlicio to read the comments under the same link. The comments show how viewers react to each claim.
  • Transcribe several videos. Paste 3 to 5 links and ask the assistant to compare the hooks.
  • Find videos worth transcribing. Ask for the top TikTok or Instagram videos in a niche first, then transcribe the best ones.
  • Check the words. The transcript comes from the spoken audio and can have small errors. On-screen text is not included.

What it costs#

Questions#

Can ChatGPT transcribe a video by itself?#

No. ChatGPT and Claude cannot open a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube link and listen to it. Adlicio gets the transcript from the link for you.
