How to pull Google Maps reviews into Claude

Paste a Google Maps place link into Claude or ChatGPT and Adlicio pulls up to about 200 reviews with ratings, so you can study a local business or its competitors.

With Adlicio connected, you paste a Google Maps link into Claude and the reviews come into the chat with their star ratings. Claude can then tell you what customers praise, what they complain about and what they warn each other about. It works the same way in ChatGPT.

This is useful for local businesses, for agencies that write their ads, and for anyone who checks a competitor before opening a new location.

Steps#

  1. Connect Adlicio to Claude or ChatGPT.
  2. Open the business on Google Maps and copy the link from the address bar or from Share.
  3. Paste the link into the chat and say what you want to learn.
Prompt
Use Adlicio to pull the Google Maps reviews for https://www.google.com/maps/place/Katz's+Delicatessen/@40.7223635,-73.9874416,17z. Group what people praise and what they complain about, and list the practical tips customers give each other.

A real result#

We ran this on Katz's Delicatessen in New York in July 2026. Adlicio returned 74 reviews, plus the topics Google counts across all of the place's reviews: pastrami (9,703 mentions), long lines (1,694) and wait time (1,184).

The reviews are full of tips that a first-time visitor needs:

  • "Don't lose your ticket! You pay after you eat! You tip the person making your sandwich!"
  • "If you go near opening time, there's usually little to no line."
  • "The sandwich was enough to fill both my wife and I so the price is more justified."

The reviews also disagree. One says the place is cash only, and another says "They take cards in the back." Ask Claude to point out where reviews conflict before you repeat a claim.

Tips#

  • Compare competitors. Paste the links of 3 nearby businesses and ask what customers praise at one and miss at the others.
  • Pull a smaller sample. Ask for up to 50 reviews when you only need a quick read. It costs less.
  • Ask for the newest reviews to see what changed recently.
  • Use the words in ads. Ask for the exact phrases happy customers use. They make good ad headlines and landing page copy.

What it costs#

  • Full pull, up to about 200 reviews: 4 credits
  • Up to 50 reviews: 2 credits

Google Maps reviews need All Access & Team. Reading reviews you already pulled from your history costs nothing.

Questions#

Can Claude read Google reviews by itself?#

Claude's web search can find a business, but it does not read the full list of reviews from Google Maps. Adlicio pulls the reviews and gives them to Claude as text.

Can I get reviews from Tripadvisor or Trustpilot too?#

Yes. Paste the page link the same way. Tripadvisor reviews cost 1 credit and Trustpilot reviews cost 1 credit.
