Add Adlicio to VS Code
Add the Adlicio remote MCP server to VS Code in mcp.json, sign in once, and use the Adlicio tools in GitHub Copilot chat.
On this page
VS Code connects to Adlicio as a remote MCP server for GitHub Copilot chat. You add one entry to mcp.json and sign in with your Adlicio account when VS Code asks.
Add the server
- Create or open .vscode/mcp.json in your project.
- Add the Adlicio entry below to servers, preserving your existing servers.
- Select Start above the entry, or run MCP: List Servers and start Adlicio. Confirm that you trust it.
- When VS Code asks to sign in, allow it and sign in to your Adlicio account in the browser.
- Open the Chat view in agent mode and ask for research. Select Configure Tools to see the Adlicio tools.
{
"servers": {
"adlicio": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.tryadlicio.com/mcp"
}
}
}To add it for every project instead, run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and save it to your user configuration. Your organization can limit which MCP servers VS Code may start.
Check that it works
In the Chat view, in agent mode, ask:
Use Adlicio to check my account and remaining credits.This uses no research credits. VS Code can ask you to confirm each tool call. If Adlicio is missing, see troubleshooting.
