A real run on \"ridge wallet worth it\" inside." canonical: https://tryadlicio.com/docs/guides/research-reddit-with-claude-or-chatgpt --- # How to research Reddit with Claude or ChatGPT Connect Adlicio and ask Claude or ChatGPT to search Reddit, read the threads and return real comments with links. A real run on "ridge wallet worth it" inside. Claude and ChatGPT cannot read Reddit threads by themselves, and their web search returns only a few snippets. With Adlicio connected, you ask in plain words and the assistant searches Reddit, reads the matching threads and gets the real comments back, each with its score and a link to the source. ## Steps 1. Connect Adlicio to [Claude](https://tryadlicio.com/docs/connect/claude) or [ChatGPT](https://tryadlicio.com/docs/connect/chatgpt). 2. Start a new chat and ask your question the way a customer types it. Use the 2 to 5 words that name the topic. 3. Optional: name up to 5 subreddits to keep the search inside the right communities. 4. Ask the assistant to sort what it found: pains, objections, outcomes people want, and exact phrases. ```text Use Adlicio to research "ridge wallet worth it" on Reddit. Then list the main objections, the alternatives people mention, and 5 short quotes in the buyers' own words, each with its link. ``` ## A real result We ran that prompt on 7 October 2026. Adlicio found 6 threads (most in r/EDC), read 111 comments and returned the 40 strongest. It also dropped 7 threads that matched the words but were about something else. The objections were clear after one read: - **Cards are hard to get out.** "I have one sitting in a drawer. Too hard to get cards in and out." (12 points) - **It wears out pockets.** One owner said the corners "started blowing holes in the pocket of my jeans." - **People feel they pay for the name.** "I definitely paid for the name and I don't even love it." - **Cheap copies are a real alternative.** Many comments point to $5 to $20 copies on Amazon and AliExpress, and to Trayvax, Herschel and Secrid wallets. Every quote comes back with its permalink, so you can open the thread and check it. ## Tips - **Ask like a buyer.** "is X worth it", "X vs Y" and "X stopped working" find better threads than a brand name alone. - **Go deeper on one thread.** Paste a Reddit thread URL and ask Adlicio to read it. It returns the comments with their replies. - **Find fresh posts.** Ask for the newest posts from the last week to find people you can reply to. - **Reuse what you have.** Threads you already collected are skipped and can be read again from your history at no cost. ## What it costs A Reddit research run costs 1 credit (Every plan). Reading saved threads from your history costs nothing. All Access has a daily limit of 200 Reddit searches. ## Questions ### Can ChatGPT read Reddit without a connector? ChatGPT's web search can show snippets from Reddit pages, but it does not return the full list of comments with their scores. A connector like Adlicio returns the actual comments with their links. ### Does it work for any subreddit? It works for public subreddits. Private communities are not included. ### Can I save the results? Yes. Every run is saved to your Adlicio history, and you can attach it to a brand so it feeds your brand research. ## Tools in this page - `research_topic`: 1 credit (Every plan) - `search_reddit`: 1 credit (Every plan)
